Hi all, i have a techo question for all you gurus. I'm hoping to save myself some effort and expense.

Are brumby rear outer cv's shared with any other vehicles? one of mine has done a good few hundred k's with no boot at all and it is a right royal mess, no one over here (NZ) seems to be able to find a listing for a new one, but there are listings for L series and a few second hand L's floating around.

Thanks in advance.

from my experience of fitting the wrong shaft to a brumby, you can use the inner cup and race but the L series shaft is longer I think the outer cup and race will go on the brumby shaft as well. you will just have to re-build the brumby shaft using the L parts

ps care to mail me some super seal no one here will stock it or sell it

edit you can get them "new" on Ebay

taking apart the race is easy there is a ring clip on the outer lip of the cup and a circlip on the shaft holding the race to the shaft

and sorry I should have said SealWell Radiator Sealant

on the bottom of this page

http://www.schrodoco.co.nz/Adhesives_Solvents.php

he believes I should be able to get it in Australia

and after trying I believe it is possible but only if you own a flying pig

And failing that i believe a 22 Spline Liberty Inner CV joint is the same as the rear inner brumby CV joint.

Also check out these guys i am pretty sure they would be happy to send across. Here is there Catalogue as you can see by the part numbers the rear of the brumby is the same as some 1991-94 liberty's.
