race cams??

ok so i know the title is a bit of a lie =)
but im currently going the the proccess of buying a set of 'race' cams for an NA carby EA82, the guy im buying from says he got them made in bernie and the cam tech has done heaps of them

anyone seen them before??

Nope.

Personally I think you'd be better of freshening up a late model EA81 with a cam specifically ground to your driving needs/style. The EA81 IMO is a solid motor with a great record compared to the EA82 (black sheep of the Subi family). I think you'd get better service and longevity from an EA81 than an EA82.

The reason EA82's "make" more power than an EA81 is that the EA82s have a bigger carbie from the factory. Bolt something a little more substantial on the top of an EA81 and you'll have a screamer on your hands.

where do you want your powerband and where do these cams give it. For your off raod racing or boy racer stuff. Got any specs of these race cams. EA81 not look the beast in an L Series road car Bennie :) Have used both 16/56 and 20/60 in EA81 and for good all round in EA82 I'd go the 16/56 again. 20/60 does not like too much of a load - so no fat chicks eh !

Its not what the engine looks like in the engine bay that determines the power output... Take a look at the Rotary!!

this is where we need Disco to convert my figures with 0.235" lift to your figures to compare.
