ok so story goes i had a major week end with the rovers.
driving to tafe this morning had a wiff of burning oil(anyone else get that smell and get really anxsious if its your car??)
well the car is due for a service and im wondering what the volume of fluid is that the car should take?
i dont want to buy 5 litres of oil the realise its meant to have 10 to take it to nearly empty then have to drive it to get some.....
car is a standard L seires, with EA82 carby

engine:
gear box/front diff (im not sure if they share oil capacity):
rear diff:

power steering and brakes will just be a top up, but i should check out the water level in my brake fluid

i think gearbox and rear diff use a 5l bottle, and 5l will do engine and filter oil change. 600ml brake fluid will be enough to flush brake fluid. dunno how much water they have in them.
i got wrx and thats what it uses, yours wont be a lot different

4L bottle of GL5 did my gearbag & diff with a couple of tubes of nulon g70 in the gearbag to smooth out the crunches. A whisker over 4L for engine with a filter change
