EA82 carby air filter housing question

Post by mroberts » Mon Mar 15, 2010 9:44 pm

There are two pipes about 10-12mm in diamter and 40mm long coming out of the passenger side of my air intake / filter housing. They are pictured in the Haynes, but not labeled. They're not connected to anything (on my car).

I need to get it inspected to sell, and figure two unconnected pipes looks bad. Can anyone tell me what they are, and ideally where they go. Althoug, if I just know what they are, I can probably work out where they go from the Haynes.

If there's anyone that works at Brindabella Park in Canberra, or lives near Kippax, and has a carbied EA82 that I could look at, that would be handy too.

Thanks,
Mike.

if there the samee size why not take a peice of hosse and run it from one to the other??
doesnt fix the problem but good enough right??
just thinking it might actually by for overflow if the rest of the air filter is blocked

super cheap sell rubber hose bungs of various sizes, one size per pair pack about $6. Water caps for capping off hose pipes on water pumps etc. Look factory bung plugs

Thanks ! Maybe I'll try that and see if it works.

"That air intake is from a slightly different model, those don't NEED to go anywhere ... honest"
