Hi all , I need to know if early (90's) era EJ20's and EJ22's bolt their throttlebodies up with bolts or allen head cap screws .
Also can anyone tell me which ones have the two wire rotary idle air control valve rather than a stepper motor .
Cheers Adrian .

EJ22's have bolts holding TB on, 8 x 1.25mm thread, 12mm head.

Good , as I hoped .
Now to the idle air control valve in the throttlebody .
I've been reading that in about 1999 the EJ went through control system changes and about this stage the IAC went from a rotary valve in the throttlebody to a bolt on housing with a stepper motor for idle air control .
I need to find the early type throttle body with the rotary idle air control valve and the gadget that moves it .
I'm going to drag an EA82 spider plenum to the wreckers to try to match up an EJ TB to it becayuse its the simplest most compact way to do idle air control .
Cheers A .

Would anyone have any pics of the early throttlebody showing the early rotary type IAC valve ?
Can I assume that series 1 and 2 NA Libs have them .
Cheers Adrian .

Google images is your friend
I think these are the two types you are referring to.
Integrated into the throttle body
Separate to the throttle body
The later turbo models ( i think)

These pics at Nasioc pretty much show me what these things are .
The only thing is I was asked to look for a two wire one .
