ej20 q's
since i think i'm pretty well set on doing the ej20 turbo conversion on my rx, i'm trying to check some of the info i've found.
from what i can gather, a turbo engine from a forester is an 8-bolt gearbox design. is this correct?
the turbo ej20 forester is a 99+ model? I can only assume the forester engine is actually an EJ205
it also appears to be correct that even if it is an 8-bolt design, it still works with the newer 4-bolt design (ie not our EA82 4-bolt design). is this correct?
none of those things can i confirm anywhere without any certainty. thanks guys

thanks...
now i've been given some more, and rather confusing, information from an engine supplier. he reckons the ej20 turbo that works with the forester gearbox is actually a 6-bolt engine and the 4 bolt engines finished in 1998.
is this all just rubbish? he's just calling it a 6-bolt when it's really a 4-bolt with some un-used bolt holes? and does that also mean that there are newer 4-bolt engines than 1998? i'd really like an engine that's around 10 year old for my engine swap
