I think out the top as the engine crossmember and other suspension stuff will need to come out if you go out through the bottom

if you have the time it is way easier to split them and pull out both as seperate parts more fiddling but less weight to move around

good luck either way

I agree spliting them is easier and quickier usually. Also a little note, leave the pressure plate lose when you attach the gearbox, therefore you don't have to line it up. You can do the bolts up through the starter motor hole.

pull them together out the top. use just 1 lift point at rear of motor/top front of gearbox, on same plate that engine stay rod uses. motor and box balance nicely. you will drop some gearbox oil as you tilt it to get it out even if it is drained, be prepared. quick and easy. good luck

obvisly radiator out? just a little unsure in reguards to room between tunnel and GB cross member.

yeah the extra weight maybe an issue

I find it easier to pull the gearbox out with the engine if you have another cog box to go in, if your just changing the clutch take just the engine out the top. Of course I've got a crane so maybe that's why its so much easier going out the top.

Yes, radiator out always, even when theres enough room. Nothing like having an engine put a nice large dent/hole in your radiator. Plus its so easy and quick to pull out so why not?
