I have a Weber 32/36 DGEV carburettor mounted on a late-model (1992 UK) EA81 in a Brat. It has electric choke. The original Hitachi carburettor had all manner of pipes and widgets on the manifold to iron out its performance, none of which I preusme I now need. Does anyone have a diagram or clear pictures of exactly which bits I need to leave on and how to configure them and what I can get rid of. Also does the electric choke just need a basic power source?
Cheers,
John

I had the electric choke. I used the +pos from the idle cut off solenoid on the hitachi( to ground through the carb). Current passes through a resistive element in the white/black cap which inturn heats up the spring and reduces the pre tension on the choke butterflies. Took a while to set up, can't remember if you turn the cap clockwise or not to adjust the time the choke is on for.
Didn't like it, ditched mine for a water choke.

				Cheers mate,
Will see how I go. Any info on the various bits of plumbing or did you just remove the lot?
