Which Radiator

Which radiator is best after a conversion.
EJ22 into Brumby. Also off the shelf radiator hoses. Currently my standard Brumby radiator is leaking from the bottom hose from the radiator. Not a huge leak, (I have attempted to fix it with "Selleys knead it steel" to not great results), however quite annoying. The bottom hose is a 2 peice EJ motor end and EA radiator end. Would like just one piece.
Would a Liberty radiator fit without modification? What has everybody got? Thanks

I used the original Brumby two core radiator with modified ends. Worked a charm and never over heated even with long periods of sand driving. Obviously my old radiator was in good condition. I also stuck two 626 aircon fans on the front ofthe radiator.
You have to cut the body of the car to fit the Liberty radiator.

I'm using a brand new stock L series auto radiator with my EJ18, with one 12" thermo fan behind it always on. Bottom hose is a long Gates universal flexible hose with 32/36mm ends. Top hose is standard Impreza, sleeved down (with a cut off bit of L series hose) to fit the 32mm rad inlet.
This setup has had it running at 90-92C in most conditions.

L series is different to MY/Brumby as for hoses and room

The Liberty radiator wont fit without cutting and welding, get a radiator place to put on bigger outlets and get the core recoed. The Brumby/MY radiators are easily able to handle the EJ even with AC running.

Thanks for the reply's. Will take the original out, and have it reco'd, and adapt it for the Liberty outlets.
Thanks

Thanks Phiz. That looks like the way to go. Rang a radiator shop, and just for a standard MY rad, you are looking at $ 390.00, should only be a couple of hundred to have this one modified.

Still no radiator, had a call from the shop doing the conversion that it was ready, drove down to Southport, took one look at the radiator. Looked pretty good, but didn't quite look right. The bottom outlet was pointing in the wrong direction.
Asked the owner of the shop to take a look, and compare it to the photos that I supplied, and he said he had put it on backwards. So have to wait another day until it will be ready.
Ended up getting a custom 3core made with the liberty outlets, (about the same size as a V8), so should keep it nice and cool. Cost just over $500.00, no extra for them to fix up their stuff up.
Can't wait to finally be able to utilize the extra power with no need to keep an eye on the temp guage

You'll love the 3 core, I got one made up for Ruby Scoo (L series) this time last year and I love it! Although it's only cooling an EA at the moment its still great, and cost $450 - my problem is that I'll have to get the in/outlet modded for the EJ as I had it made up from an EA radiator as the template.
Sounds like you're itching to get it in, I would be if its the last bit of a conversion...
Cheers

Must say it was a bit disappointing not being able to put it in the car, and drive it.
The rad shop gave us a few different hoses to see which one would be right for it. Looks like it might be a 6cyl fairlane hose will do both the top and bottom hose.
once i have it back will take a couple of pics, and post in this thread.
