Its pretty debatable which is the best, but if you don't care about money, Motul Gear 300.

If its manual the front diff "swims" in the same pool as the gearbox .

If you don't mind the price I think the Castrol Syntrax is the way to go personally .
I'll have to check in the cave but I use (from memory) the 75W90 and the lable on the back of the bottles mentions that it works with differentials ie Subaru gearboxes . Don't get the one that doesn't mention this because crownwheels and pinion gears are often what you call hypoid bevel tooth form and have special lubrication requirements .

It'll probably owe you $100ish to buy four 1L bottles and again from memory the boxes take ~ 3.5L .

Cheers A .

I cannot remember what i bought last time but costed me $75 all up lasted me for a while...

Make yourself a small bottle with a large tube that just fits in the dipstick that is located on drivers side... and pour the oil down the bottle.. If you want a pic - i'll send you a pic of what it looks like..
Cheers

the syntrans is a good oil. They take multitrax 75w90 stock, and this is perfectly ok but keep an eye on it and change it when it starts to look scungy.

Sometimes oils last a bit longer than their service interval, sometimes they don't last as long, all depending on the vehicle and how its driven and so on.
