My car is AWD its a Liberty93 so i think Gen1 GX, i was reading 'quick gearing question' and saw that people drive round town in low range, whats the advantage of this?
Thanks
Also doing 100kmph in 5th it sits on about 2850rpm, is this a little high?

That lo range is useless its 1.19:1 I wouldn't see why you would need it for daily driving unless u had massive wheels on it

That number of revs for 100k sounds pretty good to me - subaru put the revs that high at speed to keep the engine in its most economical/power range. My L does 3100 at 100km/h!
And running around in low won't hurt the gearbox, it will just accelorate quicker, probabily use more fuel and make you change gears more often (but then again, the liberties have a crap low range, it might as well not be there!).

Yeah the lo range is useless unless you upgrade the lo range inside the gearbox (from l series which they have 1.59:1 ratio) You still can use lo range in heavy traffic, steep hills, pulling boat out of the water, acceleration on hills but for everyday driving, stick in hi range... The rev range is normal, mine is 2650rpm at 100kmh due bigger tyres.

Wheels straight ahead is always a good idea as well, but read your manual to be sure, to be sure.

Yep you can use the clutch (any speed is okay), if its AWD system then you don't have to have wheels straight whereabouts part time 4WD (ie. L Series) you do need to straighten up the wheels.
