block spliting troble

hey all i have a subaru brumby and i have got the motor out of it and im having a lot of troble spliting the block in half i have un done all the bolts that i can see and takn the oil pump of is there eny bolts inside that i need to un doo or is it just gasket glue holding it together :twisted::twisted:

you have not said you have removed the M6 1.0 with 10mm head from the back of the block holding the camshaft in place with the lock tabs and acces is through the holes in the cam sprocket. Did you see the 14mm sized head of bolt, not head bolt, that is found deep in one side of block in the middle, centre sort of thing?

whatcha got planned ?

Yes ther eis a bolt inside on the blocks. You need to look inside the water ports to find it.

my brother spent hours trying to split an ea71 before finding the last hidden bolt deep in a recess somewhere...... the halves virtually fell apart after that!

water ports? not on any of mine, think it was oil side of things

so that neither of us sends you on a bum steer look all over the shop
