Hitachi carb jet sizes

Hey guys

I saw somewhere on here that the best jets for this are 120 primary and 210 secondary.

Does anyone know what the standard jet sizes are, and what changing them to the above will do.

Also, I am thinking of changing the carb to manual choke as the auto choke does not work properly. Has anyone had any bad experience with the manual choke?

I seem to remember those were the Jet sizes being recommended for a 32/36 Webber carb?
I haven't heard sizes for the standard carb.

That someone would be me, the increased sizes made it go a lot harder, especially with the manual secondary mod, sorry no idea what the stock sizes are.

I didn't notice any significant increase in fuel usage, still averaged 10L/100km using BP Ultimate/Shell VPower.

I also had an MSD Blaster ignition coil, 1.1mm spark plug gap and timing advanced to 12-13 degrees BTDC.

I originally had the stock MY carb with manual choke, with a little trail and error tweaking I got the electric auto choke working perfectly and loved it.

How did you tweak it?

Just minor adjustment of the tension on the bi-metalic spring, it's the brown plastic cap on the side, loosen the 3 screws holding it down, turn it a little, tighten, take it for a run, then adjust and wait for the next morning before I could test again.

Eventually got it perfect.

From memory it's standard "lefty loosey, righty tighty" procedure, but it has been quite a while, if you're lucky it may even have +ive and -ive markings on the top.
