I did my first reboot yesterday at home of an inner cv joint on a L series front axle that's attached to an EA82T brumby. I'm quite chuffed that it turned out a good job. I was thinking about getting some spare gear (Boots etc) and start doing a few when they bust myself to save a few quid.
I've no doubt that the heat from the turbo exhaust is causing some problems.
It has been shielded and covered but needs more I think, !!!
Anyone tried these boots...Claims long life and heat resistant

Those boots look like they would be worth a try. No mention of price and i couldn't see the condition of the lifetime warranty.

i wouldnt bother with those boots.
all they are is a 'stretch-to-fit' and are already around.
probably cost alot more and it wont exactly save any time on install in an Lseries or MY as its very easy to pull a shaft out with the right tools.
