Welded rear diff on a Suby works great offroad but on the black stuff you will snap CV shafts unless you remove one side after playing offroad.

get a lsd if u can find one. I LOVE my LSD lots.

works brilliantly. They are rare as though.

Get her locked if you can find a lsd.

I do believe welded diffs do **** up your rear end eventually too. Bending k-frames etc etc.

I run lockers in my liberty and leone.
No problems on the road! just a little chirpy chirp :D

As far as braking cv's, only once and that was doing some crazy nuts in mud with some air ;)

+1 for the welded. best upgrade, cheap and only required a little effort to put the shaft in and out

A locker in any vehicle is the most helpful upgrade offroad. Way better then tyres, gearing, power, lift, etc. Next Subaru I have (once I sell my merc) will have a welded, and I'm not gonna bother taking it out. I like to go against peoples beliefs and try things. I used to drive my Brumby with the 4sp everywhere in 4WD, that box is still strong in our new race car now.
