how much oil for EJ manual gearbox ?

Post by stinky » Fri Jun 27, 2008 7:51 am

Gonna replace the oil in the brumby's gearbox this weekend, I'm not 100% how much the EJ gearboxes take and don't want to under/over fill it. Also what's the best thickness oil to use ?

I believe it's about 3.5 Litres of 85/90 or 90 depending on it's condition.

Just found this: showthread.php?t=8926

Thanks for the help guys, I changed the oil this morning. Don't you hate it when there's decent chunks of metal stuck to the magnetic plug :/

Actually I wonder if that loose chunk is the reason low range doesn't seem go in.... I was hoping it just needed some playing around with the selector in the cab, but that would probably be too easy :/
