I am after a diagram showing how to lock the auto center diff with a switch on the dash

it should be as simple as putting a switch inline with the FWD fuse?

Has nothing to do with the center diff lock.

no i dont know which wires you will need to get that sucker tho :(

As far as i understand it...

The DutyC solenoid controls the pressure to the lock up clutch and thus the amount of torque to the rear wheels.

The TCU, which receives information from the ECU about engine load etc. which then determines the 'Duty Cylce' (pulsed 12v much like injectors) to be sent to the DutyC soleniod.

If you can intercept this signal, and supply your own, you can control the lock up clutch independent to the TCU.

All it would take is a Duty Cycle controller with a variable output and you could control the torque to the rear wheels from 0 to 50%

so the wrx TCU is a direct plug in for the legacy auto ? or what does one have to do there ?

what is the best year to get the TCU out of ?
