The best d/ range box set up

Post by seagull » Sun May 18, 2008 10:49 pm

As I have the turbo liberty back in the stable I am thinking I will fit a d/range manual box to it .

so what is the best set up to use / go for

I need some gear box codes for this

The best in a EJ based car would be the Impreza dual range gearbox, I don't know the codes but they are available with 1:1.5 low range gearing just like the old L series part time boxes.
Being a push clutch system tho you would have to get the pressure plate beefed up to handle the turbo power but this is no problem.

btw if you find an extra one of these gearboxes let me know, I'd like one too.

Wasn't it pretty well set up already? with a TT auto gearbox with selectable locking centre diff?
I'm considering one of those for my wagon...
