EJ18 -> EJ22 AWD box which clutch?

Post by BaronVonChickenPants » Tue Jan 17, 2006 11:23 pm

Planning on putting an EJ22 liberty AWD box behind the EJ18 in my tourer, I'm guessing I should be using the EJ22 flywheel and clutch kit, correct?

Just checking before I fork out for the clutch kit to make sure I get the right one.

Cheers again,
Jordan.

Well you can't go wrong if you use the EJ22 flywheel, then you would definitely run an EJ22 clutch.
Do you have an EJ18 flywheel on there? Might be able to mix & match a clutch....

I have both flywheels and they both need new clutch's, the best prices I could get were $310 for the EJ22 AWD clutch kit or $350 for the EJ18 FWD clutch kit.

I'm guessing the EJ22 is a larger/tougher clutch but really have no idea.

Is the EJ22 the best option and does the EJ22 flywheel bolt straight up to the EJ18?
