New UJ's installed. Quiet as a whistle. Makes me hate the noisy wheel bearing in my vortex even more :D.

Regards

Doug

Quiet as a whistle? I wish my old coach used your whistles ;)

Yeah though I got jibbed. Only gave me one nipple. I generally like 2 :D

Applied some grease before assembly, though they had already greased up the needle rollers. Hopefully someone like toolmart or repco or something like that will have another grease nipple. Pressed together with some oil. Tapped the c clips in place with the hammer. Bob's your mothers bro!

I haven't done anything about balancing it yet. When I took it for a spin the other day (been driving the tex ATM ) it felt smooth as egg's, though I didn’t get about about 80km/h. Il just keep some big zipties handy and balance it as needed.

Regards

Doug

You only need 1 nipple (unless we are talking about something else here ;) ) as the UJ has cross drilled holes through the centre of them. Don't worries about the weight unbalancing them, as they probably only weigh about 2grams. If you feel you need to rebalance, then take down to Truckline in Kewdale but IMO you shouldn't need to.

Well I did both the front and rear uj, but only got 1 nipple between the two. Deffinately thread hole for the missing nipple so Il chase one down, maybe from (gulp) pirtek.

Doug
