Lower gearing please!!!

Post by Romen » Fri Sep 23, 2011 6:46 am

Hello all, I am a newbie to the forum so if I post in the wrong place just kick me!
I have recently purchased a 05 Forester and I am really interested in lowering the low range gearing, is this possible? It is to go behing our motorhome on a trailer and it needs to be capable of carry appox 300kg in human cargo and camping gear for four.
I have ordered a bullbar and sump gaurd from Subaxtreme to help with getting on and off the beach. I put new tires on last week and opted for the standard size. Now the misses is talking about letting me raise it, hindsight!!
Any suggestions would be very much appreiciated.
Cheers

Have a read. Not for the light hearted. Or, Scorpion have gearsets all ready to bolt in. Still not for the light hearted installing the gears though.
