i know its possible to do the lock on the auto gearbox on the liberty and outback models, but i dont go near autos much and well is there much difference between the L series auto and the liberty?
can you still do the electronic diff lock?
im not really sure how it works, if its the centre diff we yeah there isnt one so derr

Only Vortex's and the top spec L series GL10 Turbo got the 4EAT with the variable transfer clutch like seen in later EJ auto transmissions
Most MY and L series Subarus came with the 3AT in either FWD or 4WD
The 3AT did not have a variable clutch pack for the 4WD transfer. It was either on or off, controlled by either the push button on the gear selector, or on some models, when the windscreen wipers were on.
