L series Auto

Post by Battlewagon » Thu Apr 29, 2010 8:47 pm

The auto in the Battlewagon has started acting up, not wanting to change back to first when I stop, getting sluggish changing between gears, generally showing the first signs of giving out.
Does anyone have one of these under the bench? I would like to get a spare box recoed, so that when my current one dies, I can simply swap it out for a good box.
No, I don't want to convert to manual, I need the car to be an auto.
Won't go into why.

I (or Gleno) has one in my workshop that came out of his 89 Touring wagon. It works fine, we converted to manual for him. If you don't find one closer to you, I can send it over.. I did send my uncle in Gympie, Qld an EJ20 SOHC for $300 just a couple of months ago.

If I can't source one closer, then that'll be great. It will be right at home in my 89 touring wagon....
