Are an EA82T and an EJ20 similar in shape and size
Hi guys
As previouly discussed i have a sick EA82t in my brumby the 5 speed box is still ok
There has been alot of conversions done by the previous owner to fit this motor in the brumby
are the conversions for the EA82T the same as the conversions needed for the EJ20
Also what conversion would have been done
(i haven't seen under the hood of a standard brumby before and can't tell what has been changed and what hasn't)

EA82T and EJ20 are two completely different setups and they both need a far bit of fiddling around to fit in a Brumby. I bet the previous owner had lots of fun fitting the EA82T in there
EJ20 comes in two configs.. Single OverHead Cam and Double OverHead Cam. SOHC model fits nicely in the Brumbys and the DOHC model needs some chassis rail mods to have them fitted to the Brumbys.

Similar in shape and size, but no parts are interchangeable.
If the EA82T fits, the EJ20 will too. The hardest bit will be cutting down the EJ wiring loom.
Try to fix the EA82T, it will have the best performance.

It will be easier to go back to an EA81 than go the EJ20 way. Fitting the EJ20 would take a lot of effort and costs. I'd recommend you check that the EA81 is complete with stuff like a dizzy and all the bolt on stuff.
