frilly fact - ea82

Post by twilightprotege » Mon Feb 15, 2010 6:42 am

forgot to mention when i was swapping my engines over, but the main pulley on the NA engine is about half the weight of the turbo main pulley.

easy way to gain a bit more power back. downside if the NA pulley is not a harmonic balancer - it's solid.

shouldnt be a problem. i've been running an aluminium pulley on my astina for many years now and pushing the engine harder than it was designed for (ie more rpm, n2o at the drags, many drag passes, some 40kw more power than stock and still NA)

not sure if anyone had realised this before or not, so figured i'd share

Recently played with a couple ea t's. '89 rx had solid pulley, '90 wagon had harmonic and 4eat.
