Speedo problems gx wagon

Post by neddy55 » Mon Oct 05, 2009 6:53 pm

Hi A friend of mine has a GX liberty 2wd wagon and we have replaced the speedo cable and the drive gear that is out side the gearbox but the speedo still won't work.
My question is how do i remove the drive gear in side the gearbox. do i have to remove the box or can it be removed some other way.

you have to split the gearbox to access the speedo drive gear because its hold by a clip behind it.

Are you sure its the speedo drive gear that is stuffed? It could be the dash's speedo playing up/not working?
Cheers
