EJ22 Injectors

Post by iananita » Sat Sep 19, 2009 2:31 pm

Recently took injectors out to be serviced. Looks like a disaster.
Already had 1 injector stick open flood #3 cylinder. I replaced it with second hand injector at least can get motor started now but still flooding likes like #4.

Do I replace all injectors? Genuine want $500 per injector, any other options.
Do I attempt to clean them myself? I read on a previous post use acetone, how to? I do not trust the guy to have another go.

What's the going rate for second hand injectors? I have a couple of spare sets I might be talked into selling.

Might take you up on them. I bought one from Boxer Services here in Brisbane for $33.

I may take them to another service yet

wouldn't muck around with 2nd hand injectors (because it could be working 50% what they should be..., you can get them cleaned & serviced for low as $25 each.

Got the original injectors done again.

It has made a difference.

Original guy that did them luckily did not stuff them only put on wrong O-rings + end caps.

Got my first eyes full of petrol experience doing this job.

First guy charged me $130 for 4 injectors

Second guy charged me $106 because he felt sorry for me being ripped off by dodgy operator.
