No if was going to look aftermarket I'd probably look at a ViPec V44 , lots of useful things like autotune and doesn't banish you to the archaic world of MAP sensors .

The idea of a more modern turbocharger is about raising the dynamic (effective) compression pressure earlier than the std dryer can and with less exhaust restriction . Turbos with modern turbines and low oil sheer drag bearing systems (annular contact ball bearings) can achieve both and make more effective airflow with more modern compressor wheels and a rotating group that can stand turning higher revs than older bush/plate turbos can .

BTW Garrett should have GT2854R's available in late July so something else to wait for .
