EG33 trike project

Post by 2happypigs » Thu Aug 14, 2008 9:18 am

Hi guys,
Iam building a trike with a EG33 engine.
It came with an auto gearbox (awd i think)
The Question is can I use the FWD part of the box without the RWD connected?
I can get hold of a 2wd ej22 auto box to use but I don't know if it will be strong enough.
What do you think?
Thanks Rusty

The ej22 box was designed to haul around a lot more weight than your trike, so it should be ok. (unless your trike weighs over 1200kgs!)

if its like most other 4eat boxes the rear transfer a unbolts and the 2wd cover plate goes on.Or you could just use a fwd box.

Thats mine ( MISTRES )

Powered by a quad cam subaru 2ltr & its auto ( VW type three ) . It made 120 hp on the dyno

you can fit the awd box , but I would fit a FWD box . The AWD box would be easy to sell as most drag guys running auto look for this box & the SVX box for full flow line aplications.

There is a mid mount ej22 trike in Perth Max owns this runs ej22 & the factory auto .

The red one is for sale & I am taking offers over 35K
