I have noticed that when i have full lock to the left, i get a knocking(cracking alomst). it's only on full lock. The guy i brought it from had only just chage the front drive shafts and CV's. Any idea what it could be??

CV's. Are you sure they were changed?

throwing an unlikely thing at ya here. If the cvs are new it could be power steering pump.

Does it only happen when your moving? Or stationary.

I had replaced both of my front shafts with recond shafts.
One developed a click on anything over 1/5 turn from straight ahead, at 2 months old, then turned into totally failure while cruising at any load above very light throttle.
Felt like a wheel was about to come off.

I know of many people now that have installed new CV shafts in their Suby onnly to have them sound worse than the one it replaced.

Gotta be CV's.

Mine have been clicking for a good 2 years now, I just hope they don't give up on me tomorrow or anytime soon.

I'd say its your CV's - they will still work but a clicking sound indicates wear that will likely lead to some sort of distruction of the CV.

i have checked with the old owner and he said he changed both the cv's and drive shafts. he hadn't noticed the sound before but agrees that its most likely the cv's. will try and get some new ones but knowing norway i will have to sell the motor to buy them:( thanks for the help guys. will keep you posted.

Yeah has to be CV joints, I had the same problem a few years ago and I took them back three times and after 3rd time it was perfect - I dunno why I think you should do something about it because its scary and once you're used to it something bad could happen!
