Blown hg?

Lately my lifter tick has been getting 100 times worse. After a month or soo (its my fault) of not checking the oil, i checked it today to find that it's getting down further towards the low mark, and the oil actually on the dip stick has tiny little bubbles all through it. Other than that, its been running ok. Low temps, starts well, just ticks like nothing at all.

I havnt noticed any dropping of oil, and there isnt any visible oil smoke from the exhaust.

Cheers,

Andy

check the coolant for oil. Also check the oil filler cap for condensation.

bring it to a radiator shop and get them to Co2 test it.

hard to say really

if the oil was the normal black colour, i wouldnt worry.

The ticking is probably worse cos you were low on oil. Mine used to do that.

But if the oil is creamy, you have water in it and you most likely have a blown HG

Cheers guys. No noticeable milky substance, and coolant level seems constant. I'll change the oil out today and see how it goes
