RX rear disks the same as early MY fronts?

Post by SuBaRiNo » Sat Oct 06, 2007 11:24 am

I am going to be looking for new replacement brake rotors to replace the rear disk rotors on my car. (they are the RX rear disk brakes)

Does anyone know if these are still available new and perhaps available sloted or are the early (1cm thick) MY rotors actually the same part?

wuldnt u basically just need to find a nice big disc, with which u can also get a caliper, that can bolt onto the Hub. and obviously clear the rims lol

maybe something off a liberty if they are the same styling with the 4 bolts onto the hub.

Sorry i think i have made this a little confusing... im not wanting to change or upgrade my rear disks in any way. I just want NEW rear disk rotors only.... and i am assuming getting these new migth be difficult due to how rare they are... hence asking if the early (1cm thick) fronts may be the same actual part. And if this is at all possible then i want to explore getting them slotted.

lol i guess its easier to ask on here coz we all basically know wt hes talking about without tryna ring up to get some prices and being asked the usual shoppinglist of questions. (4wd, turbo, sedan/wagon etc, etc)

according to the DBA listing you can get the L rear discs (DBA341) in slotted. They are different dimensions to the fronts.

i know for a fact that there is a part number thru DBA for them. slotted ones too. also get them from my work (supercheap) in the next few days and they'll only cost u $107e a. there was a screw up in the catalouge printing - they forgot to say store stock only- so specials orders at that price is very good.

So they will cost $107 each from your work within the next few days Matt?? So i would end up with slotted rottors front and rear for $428?

How long do they take to come in if ordered? And can you order them for me or do u need me to come in and do it? I can give you the money up-front if your worried about ordering them and me not buying them.

I went to there web site and got there catalogue... could not find a listing for the rears however did find the specs for this part number in the Weights and Dimentions Chart. Sizes look ok... and it is listed as a Subaru one... just not what it's for. Where did u get this number??? I don;t want to end up with the wrong parts.

hmmm...I have an old DBA catalogue in pdf format saved on my computer. It's listed in there but like you said, not in the new one on the website....might be discontinued. I have heard if they get enough orders they will do a special batch. Getting the numbers might be a problem. Hope you can find some old stock.
