hello all .. question ..
After taking my car to a 4wd dyno shop that refused to dyno my car due to the lifter rattle .. and wiring concerns, i took it to an auto electrician .. they can't find the problem they charged me 270 bucks to rewire my thermal fans. and water intercooler pump and a mess under the dash where my stereo used to be. (expensive .. however at least they did a profesional job)
here is the problem ..
I have an intermitant flat response from my motor that comes and go's .. ie .. 40k's of flat non turbo kick in the pants acceleration .. then 40 k's of back to normal ..
I am yet to change the spark plugs however be'n irridium and only about 20,000 k old i doubt that they are stuffed ..
they checked my fuel pressure and the like ..
any suggestions ?
and to that matter .. is there an easy way of getting out the plugs from an ej20t conversion in an L ? (please say there is)

Coils? When I first got my front cut it had 2 dead and 2 mostly dead coils at 120,000kms, apparently not too uncommon in early ej20t engines. Is boost pressure normal? Can you arrange a swap of the air flow meter from a good car?
Yes, I got the plugs out of mine, you just need the right length ratchet and extension, there is just enough room.
