EJ25 Knock sensor

wt can sum1 tell me bout this

my dads outback is all back together started it up and check engine light stays on

code was 2-2 referring to Knock sensor
checked for continuity with it and the block but nothing(which is good according to the hayne book)

we didnt even touch this only the connector stupid thing is now given us codes for it

need to no if theres ne otha checks or sumthin as we need this fixed lol cant sell it with a check engine light on :p

take the globe out of the dash

except when they start the car and check that the check engine light comes on then goes off...bang...BUSTED!!! ive looked for it once before...and had somebody check it on mine....so yeh..not the smartes idea

no im not gonna do that
that wuld be stupid and ignoring the real problem lol
the knock sensor shuldnt be stuffed as far as i can tell and everything else is plugged in

A lot of people AND MECHANICS! always taken globes out from the dash thinking "problem solved" to trick people thinking its fixed but it leads to other problems, last year I had an Commodore and when I got it I noticed it didnt have "engine light" showing so pulled out the dash and I found no globe there but the plastic globe attachment was there! and had 2 problems was crank sensor and oxygen sensor - they were fixed, If the engine light shows - respect it and get it fixed then you won't have any problems.

well wasnt on today
on our travels across the internet ppl have been saying they come on for stupid reasons like hot weather, if it was running lean (which is a possibilty obviously taking angine out) and some other crap i cant think of
i didnt think there was nething wrong with it neway so only time will tell if it comes back on
