Heya all,

First post, though unfortunately not for a positive reason.

Lately, my 92 l series has been struggling to start up when cold. Basically the deal is that the engine will struggle (either not start at all or idle very irregularly) at start up until i give it a wee bit of throttle, then the problem seems to settle down a bit.

I dont know a huge amount about cars so if someone could diagnose the problem that would be awesome. Have been worrying that it is possibly a head gasket which could be quite expensive.

Cheers,

Couple of Questions for you which might help diagonse
1. Is the it EFI/Carbie? If Carbie Manual/Auto Choke?
2. Have you changed the Fuel Filters?
3. Have you checked the Timing?
4. Have you checked the Fuel Pump?

I sorted it out, never mind.

Cheers anyway. (just needed a good old tune)

Now i'm trying to figure out what to do with the stereo. I cant find a colour map for the wiring, nor is the cage inwhich the stereo sits big enough for a replacement head unit, nor is the face plate wide enough. Kill me.

with the stero you need to buy a plate gives it more room to sit in.
