Pulling to left under acceleration

Post by hughybabes » Wed Jan 10, 2007 11:28 pm

Hi Guys. Long time since Ive posted. Rebuilt twin exhaust port twin carby EA 81 going very well. In an '84 model 500,000 + km, sports wagon.
BUT ...occasional clunking noise under accel'n around corners (I reckon from right hand side) and strong pulling to left under power.
Does this suggest drive shaft problems ?....Or some other problem such as wheel allignment. (Had a set of Khumos fitted recently without front end check)
A big cheerio to Tasbrat, Redskin, Jono, Rudyproject and others who helped me in the rebuild.

I would say the clunking is a CV and the pulling is a wheel alignment issue.

I have had pulling to one side previously due to unevenly worn tyres but if they're new that's probably not it.

Could also be caused by badly flogged out or missing radius rod bushes on one side.
