I reconned a L-Series power steering rack

I surprised myself in sucessfully reconditioning the power steering valve for a L-Series rack with a genuine kit - for $60.
Mine had the typical annoying leak from the steering stem, and there was no play in the rack and pinion.
I took this option instead of getting a 2nd hand unit that may end up with the same problem
Would I recommend anyone to do it? No, not unless you have:
A good range of tooling
Have a genuine OEM manual (as I did)
Some experience in hydraulics (I have done a bit in my trade)
I wasnt as straight forward as the manual showed, and were some tricks that I have accomplished that I know better for next time?
I was very fiddly and quite easy to stuff something, so time taken with care.
I found the 14mm compression nut on the line above the valve was an absolute bastard to get at on a Turbo engine, as access is at a minimum. Had to buy Crow Foot socket wrenches to undo.
I am so pleased with myself it was worth all the effort and no leaks.
If anyone want to tackle this and wants some tips, drop me a PM.
Cheers, Roger
