sway bar rubbers

Post by timmo » Thu Dec 14, 2006 2:43 pm

I'm trying to get hold of a couple of those rubbers that fit inside the eyes in the front swaybar for an L series. I've got a set of nolathane rubbers part no. 42459 that are for the links on the lower control arms but these are a different diameter to the ones in the eyes of the bar. Is genuine the only option? Part no.s?

Thanks, Timmo

What we (correction pedders) did for my Brothers "L" is just filled the bushes down, it is a bit dodgy but they seemed to last the test of time. Might be worth a go.

. Yeah I was thinking of just bunging them link ones in - would be a bit loose but might do.

how much for genuine? Nolathane would be good but I wanna have the car on the road before the new year and the ones I have are completely flogged.

Cheers, timmo

I think you're talking about the mounts - i'm after the rubbers that fit inside the eyes of the bar. I've been told you cant get them from nolathane until sometime in the new year so i'm gonna chase up subaru for some genuine ones.
