What CV?

What CV has the same inner cup splines and outer splines but is about 40mm longer in the shaft then a normal manual L Series one? Fitting one up to my bros car last nite to find it was about 40mm to long but all the splines, etc lined up?

Maybe one from an auto or one from MY series?

The L Series is about 45mm in total CV shaft length LONGER than an MY series (manuals anyway) . The spacing between inner/outer bearing seats is also wider on L's than on MY
You may have discovered how to wide track an L !!

Yeah but how would you get wider control arms? it would be good however it would push the wheels way out.

You could cut and weld the control arms wider. I've done it on mine.
