HVAC OFF/AUTO control 2002 H6 Outback

Is there anyone else who has a problem with the OFF/AUTO button no longer working? The fan is now continuously running. I recall a post from the USA talking about the A/C module and then my auto electrician saying it could be a stuck button. Any help is appreciated. BTW I am based in Brisbane. Cheers Rod
