EA82 Dying in gear

Post by Matt » Fri Aug 14, 2015 6:18 pm

I have a L series with a EA82 Auto in it (Not my car) that dies when you have it in drive and stop a reasonable rate. If you stop super slow it doesn't die but comes close. Is it ment to have an idle kick up solined or something?

not had an idle kick up solenoid in either of my auto's,- as far as a carb or throtttle is concerned but one was MY, another was turbo. I think all this you have would be in the box itself, which may be asking for a service and maybe some fluid enhancer - Nulons G60 comes to mind- could be a hard to get at o ring causing some sluggishness

Could be a vacuum leak on the engine or low compression.

Is it carb or MPFI? How many k's and how does the engine run in general? Does it still shift gears properly?

Cheers
