Won't go into second.

Hey guys, been a while, but hope all is well.

Last week I blew a CV joint, so I replaced it, and during that, oil had leaked out of my gearbox, So I changed the oil and put in Additive. car goes into Reverse easily, but when I'm gearing down, i can't go into second AT ALL and I find I have to coast in neutral until I am slow enough to get into first. it is tight to get it into second when gearing up, but I can do it, and my clutch seems to jolt a bit when I do so.

Any ideas? Clutch has done about 10 - 15,000k.

Cheers

Oil! It's to bloody cold for it. So time to go spend some money on some lifetime oil. Redline Performance Oil. That should apparently solve that issue.

Impreza GX 05.

not a Brumby, i'm sure there is better stuff than redline for them.

What "Oil" and "Additive" did you use?

I used 80w Castrol Multitrax as recommended and repco Manual additive. I've never had a problem before, but last time I did use the same stuff was October, so it was warmer than it is now.

I have that combo in my Brumby, but doesn't work in my WRX.

Castrol Website recommends it. The Workshop manual recommends 80W. and i've never had an issue with the repco Additive. (It's really all they sell anyway)

I'm thinking redline would be the way to go.
