Does any one know how to take the cover off the interior light in a 92 brumby ute the bulb is blown n i wanna replace it

i have no idea, but i suggest you try insert a small flat blade (not a sharp one) between the roof lining and the light mount, and see if you can release any metal clips which hold it to the roof turret or roof moulding. if not, the clear plastic must pry off with brute force.

Yer ive had a quick go at it and i cant figure out how it pops off. I think im just goin to have to give it the brute force attack. If it breaks well ill find something else to stick there

if it is as it left the factory it should just flick or twist off. Best thing to do with these unless you are after concourse condition etc, get one from an L Series first, then flick entire Brumby unit to the shtouse. They share same screw spacings to interchange and make world of difference. Also tempted to find LED light bulb.

Hey test it is the bulb first before going to to much trouble.

Now, if only Brumby had interior light switch in dash with a timer and some fotwell lighting to !

Is it the round light like in all MY's? if so then just twist it until you hear a click or something similar and one or both sides should pop off, or just pull in different spots, I figured mine out pretty quick.
And if you're going to replace the bulb, why not just get one of these?

I got one and it fits straight in and is about 10x brighter than the stock bulb

Take to it with a hammer, unscrew the remains and replace it with a fluorescent unit that can be found at JayCar. It'll set you back about $40 and you'll have to make a spacer to bolt it in properly but its well worth the effort. The difference is like having daylight in your car at night, just with a blue tinge.

I've put one in Sunnie the Brumby and also fitted one to Ruby Scoo. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of said light...
