Aircon Blockage

Hey guys.

For quite a while now I've had a Gurgle sound come from my Deshboard when I start up my Impreza GX. It happens a lot more regularly now and I've pin pointed it to my aircon, There doesn't seem to be any water dripping out anymore either.

It has gotten to the point where I drive of a gutter or up a hill and then down that you can hear the water swishing around as a build up.

Question is, Where might I got looking for this blockage? which part of the aircon system does this drain? Is it part of the Condensor?

Cheers guys

if its the A/C there is a hose that drains water from the evaporator box under the dashboard, sticks out through the firewall passenger side, might be blocked or may have come off. More likely though if the gurgle is there on start up its the common 'waterfall effect' that older subies get due to air in the cooling system that gurgles through the heater core. try searching for "bleeding cooling system" or similar

from what you are decribing there is air getting into the heater core not a block in the air conditioner.

the easiest fix for this is to park the car on a hill (with a good incline) with the front facing up the hill remove the radiator cap (carefully if the engine is hot) and start the engine let it get to operating temperature (if it isnt hot) and when the thermostat opens the bubbles should bleed out of the system. when the bubbles have stopped top you radiator up so it is filled to the cap then put the cap on and hopefully your gurgle will have dissapeared
