Leaking Coolant

Hi All.
Over the last few weeks my L has been drinking coolant (around a litre per week)
so today I jacked it up and had a look underneath, the radiator seems fine, no split hoses etc etc.
But there seems to be a small amount seeping out through the bottom of the timing belt cover.
Anyone know what could be causing this and what would likely be the culprit.
Thanks

Thanks alex.
Come to think of it, it does seem to be leaking right from that spot.
Will ring motor traders tomorrow to see if I can source a new one.

hi all, just after some advice regarding a leaking water pump on my MY04 Impreza RS (79000k's)
Mechanic has quoted $600 odd for replacement (including timing belt replacement as is necessary to remove to access water pump).
I was curious as to whether this is a fair price and whether its necessary to replace a new timing belt as well as its the first time ive used this mechanic. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

normally the timing belt is done at 100000 km and most people change the water pump as well
cost of a pump =150 -200 dollars
timing belt kit up to 360 dollars depending on the brand
timing belt on its own from 60 dollars
Im sure some one will come up with more accurate prices on parts Im just estimating on prices Ive seen
hope this helps abit
labour 50 - 100 dollars an hour depending on the mechanic

sort of means if you keep good records and service as needed, at 100,000km advise belts were done at 80,,000km, so not needed to be done at that time, then if still got it at 180,000 do it again or earlier if wp poos itself again. If done at 80,000 you have peace of mind for another 100,000 2c
