Acceleration flatspot

I have a 1985 auto 2wd leone with a EA82 motor that has a very noticeable flatspot from idle. I have cleaned and blown out the carbie, checked out the vacume hoses and replaced the accelerator pump for no change. It is ok when manual choke is on. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Bill

Have you checked to see if the accelerator pump is actually working? Just look down the carby and pump the throttle linkage and see if it sprays in fuel.

Yes, does squirt fuel, not sure how much it should spray tho. I will compare it with another L series when I get back in town.

You could try opening the throttle right up and seeing if the throttle shaft is sloppy in the carburettor body . If this is the case they can leak air into the carby and make the mixture lean out .
