Help I have a subaru liberity GX late 91 the cooling fans come on after 30 min driving and stay on . after i turn the motor off for 5 min they stay off .Temp gauge stays on normal, When idling they come on and shut off as normal, any ideas please?

Check if engine fault codes but sounds temp sensor for ecu faulty.
Temp gauge uses different sensor.
