Haynes manual says no continuity in EJ22 Knock sensor but mine has 550 000 ohm resistance.

Can someone test their sensor?

I have a knock sensor fault code. Is it a fault in sensor or wiring? Engine running smooth

Was getting intermittent knock sensor fault code. Here is the reason. Old sensor(at bottom) had cracked casing. New sensor now in no fault codes.

Seems to be a common problem and as someone pointed out to me the positioning for them isn't exactly the best! I went through a subaru wrecking yard and couldn't find one that hadn't cracked from the heat!

this is one part you really shoud replace with a new one.

Take the thing out, if there is any signa t all of cracking it needs to go in the bin.

$140 from subaru. will solve your problem

ooopps sorry no offense lol i will just buy a new sensor i guess that is the best move for me to make because i am not really knowledgeable in testing .

For the record the Gregory's manual says that they are supposed to have 560k ohm resistance. But they are notorious for cracking, replacing it was a good idea.
