G'day forum,

I'm Finding it increasingly difficult to find Vortex
parts for obvious reasons.

I'm putting it out to find what kind of vortex
spares are lying around in sheds, houses, boxes,
shipping containers and and back paddocks?

If u have any spares, please put them up on this
thread, to try and make it easier for fellow
'Wonder Wedge' owners :D :-D

I have a half cannibalised '85 if that helps anyone else.

I'm currently looking for a front bar from a 87+ vortex
(the one with the lower placed number plate)

Cheers,

H-top

I might just have one up in the shed. I remember I took it off the last one I had before it left and stored it some where. I don't know if it has been thrown out by now or not though. I will look.

You could try contacting Paul at Subawreck in SA , s'where my spider turbo Vortex bits came from .

that would be sweet if you had one outback.

Just sent an email to subareck :D

what advantages do the spider intake bits have over the
non spider?

subareck says $250, which isnt too bad for a complete bar.
but post to Bundy from SA would bite pretty hard.

I'd like to see if anyone closer would have one though

Though I have never been myself, but maybe try Sunspares at Yandina? They are closer, well more so than Subawreck.

I have got a front and rear bar there but don't know if it is the right model. Got a pic of yours so I can see if it is the same? I have had a few Vortexes and don't remember what model the last one was.

the spider has a larger bore throttle and larger internal air volume, fewer 90 degree bends, throttle works in reverse of normal EA82 efi TB,s and is four pin TPS so makes it difficult to just swap in.

damn thats average.
i was looking at all of the fuel rail parts on the ea82,
would it be possible to diy trim it down?
eg, only custom fuel rails, aftermarket regulator, the minimum vacuums
and sensors?
