car vibrating over 60 kmh

I took my subie up to the beach (DI) today had a ball,but i got back on the road and of the sand the car started vibarate at about 50 kmh its coming from the frount of the car,there does not seem to be any play in the steering wheel when the car is stoped i can turn the wheel tith no play in it at all,there is no play in the cv's that i can tell,but i did notice when i rock the car side to side the driver's side frount shock make's a knock sound up the top,the rubber hat is pritty old and has a few small crack's and pulling on the top of the wheel you can here it knock,will this mack my car shutter on the road.

What rims do you have, it could simply be that there is sand clump/s sitting on the inside of your rim, thus making the rim unbalanced and making the car vibrate.
Could give the car a burst with a pressure hose around the shocks, behind wheels and clean it all. Can only help.

Do you still have some sand on the inside of the rim,sometimes it will stick there.

No sand,when i got home gave it a good wash, it vibrate's alot it makes the steering wheel shake, it was a slow drive home

sounds like ballance as others have said
check lower ball joints

I had a vibration in my subie that started at about 50 k/h in the front end. Rick and I searched to see if something was loose found the front uni joint had play in it. We replaced it & vibration is gone.
May be worth checking yours out.

Hi there all,SAND sand sand on the way to work today the car was still vibrating i pulled over went over the car and found a small bit of sand about the size of a $5 note and about 1 centermeter high stuck on the inside of the frount lh side rim rubed it of and she's back on the road again without the vibration.thanks for the heads up on the sand.I love this site.

hmmm maybe i should have checked my uni joints while my car was up in the air...another job for the boys at bridgestone me thinks!
